WHAT IS HUMAN HEALTH?
Human Health The old definition of health according to the early Greek thinkers like Hippocrates and Indian ayurveda system it is the balance of mind and certain humour.
According to them a person who has good humour of hipothesis have a mixture of Blood,phelgm, yellow bile & black bile
. They have a reflective thought that a person with black bile belonged to hot personality and
would have fevers later this thought was disapproved by William Harvey by the discovery of blood circulation.
The modern view of health according to W.H.O(world health organisation) it the state of complete mental, physical and social well being.It is the not only absence of disease or not only physical fitness . Balanced diet, personal hygiene and regular exercise are very important to
maintain good health.
Health is also affected by the genetic disorder, infections, lifestyle.Being healthy
should be part of your overall lifestyle. Living a healthy lifestyle can help prevent
chronic diseases and long-term illnesses. Feeling good about yourself and taking
care of your health are important for your self-esteem and self-image. Maintain a
healthy lifestyle by doing what is right for your body.
The benifits of health for a healthy person are:
(1) increase longivity of water
(2) increased productivity
(3) increased economic property
(4) infant mortality rate and maternal mortality rate decreases
A disease can be defined as any disturbance in the structure or function of any organ
or part of the body. It may be caused due to the attack of pathogens, lack of
nutritious diet/balanced diet and lack of public health services.Types of disease are:
(1)infectious diseases
(2)non-infectious disease
Infectious disease:-
these are the communicable disease which are caused by pathogens and easily transmit from one person to another .these are caused bybacteria ,fungi, helminthic (worm),virus
Non-infectious disease:-
these are the communicable disease which can not be spread through infection or through other persons they are caused by unhealthy behaviour. Cancer, diabetes mellitus, deficiency disease and degenerative diseases
are some examples of the non-infectious disease.
